DISTRICT 314 RURAL PROJECT REPORT
On March 11, 2025, IIW President Mamta Gupta and Association President Sunita Jain inaugurated a new Girls' Hostel at Madhavrao Kane Ashramshala, Devgaon, Wada.
Fifteen years ago, the school built a dormitory with three toilets to accommodate 70 girls where 100 girls were presently staying. However, over time, the number of girl students increased and another 206 girls had no dedicated sleeping space. They were forced to store their belongings in classrooms, using them for both studying during the day and sleeping at night.
Recognizing the need for better living conditions, Inner Wheel District 314 initiated the construction of a new hostel block for these resident students during the IW year 2024-25.
Hostel Highlights:
Built on available ashramshala land, constructed area is 6,147 sq. ft.
Structure: Ground (stilt) + 3 floors
Floor Size: Each floor measures 42 x 36 ft. (1,512 sq. ft.)
Sanitation Facilities: Each floor has 3 WCs and 3 bathrooms
Renovation of Existing Dormitory: Includes new flooring, upgraded facilities, and fresh paint
Total Project Cost: ₹1.20 Crores
This initiative was made possible through the dedicated efforts of all club members, who worked tirelessly to mobilize funds, both personally and through CSR contributions. A heartfelt thank you to all Presidents and club members for their unwavering support in transforming this dream into reality.
