INAUGURATION OF NEW CLUB IWC BOMBAY PHOENIX STARS

79th Club of Inner Wheel District 314
IWC Mumbai Phoenix Stars, the 79th club of District 314, was inaugurated on 5th May 2025 at The Bombay Presidency Radio Club Ltd. The club is sponsored by IWC Hiranandani Estate.
A preliminary meeting held in April at Shere Punjab Gymkhana brought together a group of enthusiastic, highly qualified women—many returning from Muscat and four being ex-IW members keen to serve the community.
District Chairman Prerana Raichur and District ESO PDC Dr. Kanak Saxena guided the group and shared insights about Inner Wheel. With strong enthusiasm, a committee was quickly formed and the club inauguration was scheduled.
At the ceremony, MC Sheila Paul welcomed all, followed by the formal proceedings initiated by sponsoring club President Sreeja Nair and Secretary Ashwini Nagarkar.
District ESO Dr. Kanak Saxena welcomed the members into the IW fold and confirmed the sponsorship resolution from Rotary Club of Mumbai Jewels. District Chairman Prerana Raichur declared the club open and gave her blessings.
Rakhi Bora was introduced as the Charter President and shared her plans focused on women empowerment. The new team took their oath, administered and pinned by Association President Sunita Jain, who applauded the club’s strong start with 60 charter members.
Rotary President Charul Sharma extended her best wishes, and Charter Secretary Sangeeta Dokania concluded with announcements. Vote of thanks was given by Charter Vice President.
The event marked the beginning of a vibrant and promising journey for IWC Mumbai Phoenix Stars.
