MASS MARRIAGE REPORT

Under the Sahara and Sambal vertical of Association goals for year 2024-25, a Samuhik Vivah ( mass marriage) of 130 tribal couples was organised by Inner Wheel District 314 under the leadership of District Chairman Prerana Raichur. The ceremony took place at Talwada, Dahanu, District Palghar on 2nd February 2025. Project coordinators Rukmini Ingle, Jayati, Jayashri, Hema, Anupama, Shammi, Yogeeta, Suchita and IWC Nariman point (Trust) treasurer Shivani worked meticulously under the guidance and supervision of Project Chairmen PDC Sohini Doshi and PDC Smita Batra to ensure that the huge tasks to complete this project were done successfully. Eg. raising funds from clubs, issuing timely receipts, buying everything from the couples' wedding outfits to utensils and other gifts for them, arrangements at the venue. A delicious lunch was served to the couples, their families, Inner Wheel attendees, local police force and other dignitaries, a total of over 5,000 people. The project was one of its kind undertaken by the District for the first time in many years. Everything went off smoothly.
