ANAHATA FOR OUR INNER WHEEL DISTRICT 314

District Rally “Anahata” was held on Monday ,23rd September 2024 at CIDCO Auditorium, Navi Mumbai. An impressive crowd of more than 776 IW members, were spell bound by grand show. The vibrant and energetic dances, Impressive Skits on OCV and melodious medley of songs captivated the audience. With its impressive performances and memorable moments, Rally Anahata is sure to remain a cherished memory for all who attended.
Adding to the event’s attraction, 18 vendor stalls were set up, providing a bustling marketplace for members to explore. A grand 30-foot banner was displayed outside the venue to publicize Inner Wheel, along with an electronic signage at Vashi Toll Naka to mark the event’s significance. With record-breaking participation, Anahata was an incredible success.
District Rally Anahata had participating members. The event commenced with District Chairman Prerana Raichur calling the meeting to order, followed by the traditional lighting of the auspicious lamp amid chants of the Gayatri Mantra. The National Anthem was presented by IWC Bombay Queens Tiara, setting the stage for an inspiring day ahead.
The District Rally was brilliantly co-anchored by Rally Anahata Chairman PAP Vasudhaa Chandrachud and District Secretary Mona Gyani. They were ably supported by Zonal Coordinators Sonia Gupta, Meena Patil, Champaka Shankar, Chitra Thakkar, Dr. Sonal Kaur Raje, and Anjali Warke, who all contributed to the success of the event. Anahata featured three main competitions: Skits, Singing, and Dancing, each bringing unique energy and talent to the stage.
Skits on OCVs: Each zone presented a humorous interpretation of the Official Club Visits (OCVs), delighting the audience with laughter.
The skits were judged by Amrita Rao and Aditi Sarangdhar, and the winners were:
1st Prize: Zone 6
2nd Prize: Zone 2
3rd Prize: Zone 3
Singing: Zones performed song medleys in various styles, including Patriotic, Classical/Semi- Classical, Bhajan/Bhakti Geet, Qawwali, Folk, and Rock/Jazz/Pop.
Judged by Dr. Kumar Chatterjee and Ms. Dhanashri Deshpande, the winners were:
1st Prize: Zone 2 (Folk Songs)
2nd Prize: Zone 5 (Classical/Semi-Classical Songs)
3rd Prize: Zone 4 (Bhajan/Bhakti Geet)
Dancing: Zones paid tribute to iconic yesteryear heroines through nostalgic dance
performances. Judged by Ms. Sharmishtha Chattopadhyay, the winning zones were:
1st Prize: Zone 4 (Sandhya)
2nd Prize: Zone 1 (Geeta Bali)
3rd Prize: Zone 6 (Vaijayantimala)
The six Zonal Coordinators, namely Sonia Gupta (Zone 1), Meena Patil (Zone 2), Champaka Shankar (Zone 3), Chitra Thakkar (Zone 4), Dr. Sonal Kaur Raje (Zone 5), and Anjali Warke (Zone 6), played pivotal roles in motivating members to participate actively. Their dedication and effort were crucial in making the rally a resounding success.
Dance performances by DEC members and PDCs were a significant highlight of the day.
Additionally, a unique ISO Competition, ‘Bird Feeder out of Waste Bottles,’ emphasized environmental responsibility, conducted by District ISO Suchitra Nayak. Judged by Ms. Tulika Gupta, the winners were:
1st Prize: Neelima Bharadwaj
2nd Prize: Sneha Sawkar
3rd Prize: Kannan Shah
4th Prize: Swati Prasad
The District Rally Anahata was more than just a competitive event—it was a celebration of camaraderie, creativity, and shared purpose. With enthusiastic performances, meaningful initiatives, and heartfelt interactions, it beautifully strengthened bonds within the Inner Wheel community.
