Surkhit Bachapan Traning

The 5-day offline training for new volunteers and facilitators was commenced by Project Chairman Dr. Devangi Vakharia at Maniben Nanavati College. The training was conducted by the Mentor Dr. Swaroop Sampat Raval.
The occasion was graced by DC Prerana Raichur as Chief Guest District Vice Chairman Lakshmi Singh was present to give her best wishes to all volunteers Dr. Swaroop started the session with what are the Lifeskills, their importance, impact on mental health, and emphasized how they help build resilience and inculcate appropriate behavior in everyone, from preschool students to senior citizens.. covering the complete life span. On the 1st day Life Skill Emotions was taught through day-to-day live examples, which were simple yet had a lot of depth to understand the feelings of people. After the theory sessions, the following activities were done like
Activities:
1. Identify various emotions from examples.
2. Different walks showing Happy, Sad & Angry
3. Statues: Single and as Pairs.
Reflections: It is said that we learn from experiences but today we learned when you reflect, and think about your experience, that's when you learn. This was a valuable takeaway for all of us.
The project creates a ripple effect by training volunteers who impart Lifeskills education to students, class teachers who carry it to parents, and many more, thus bringing about a change in society.
It was indeed a great learning experience for all the volunteers.
